WHAT THE FRAGMENTS REMEMBER
Hajar Al Blooshi | 2026
Handcrafted porcelain, underglaze, overglaze, 24K gold and mixed media.
Inspired by Emirati architectural heritage and cultural memory, this artwork explores the beauty of repair through fragmented porcelain surfaces reconnected by visible metallic stitching.
Each fragment carries traces of identity and place, while the connections symbolise resilience, continuity, and transformation.
Rather than concealing what has been broken, the work celebrates the stories that remain.
